A healthy lifestyle includes a variety of behaviours which include effective coping, lifelong learning, safety precautions, social interaction, parenting, spirituality, balancing work and family, as well as good nutrition, physical activity, safe sex, and avoiding tobacco and substance abuse. A healthy lifestyle is about obtaining a reasonable balance between improving the quality of one's personal health, the health and well-being of others, and the health of the community.
